LEXINGTON, Mass. — FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation has entered into a strategic partnership with Voicebrook Inc. to integrate voice-driven pathology reporting into Fujifilm’s Synapse Pathology platform, aiming to help laboratories modernize operations, reduce manual steps, and speed diagnostic turnaround times.
Under the collaboration, Voicebrook’s VoiceOver PRO reporting platform will be embedded within Synapse Pathology, Fujifilm’s digital pathology PACS designed to streamline case management through advanced image digitization. The combined solution allows pathologists to move seamlessly from reviewing whole-slide images to generating structured, College of American Pathologists-compliant reports using voice commands.
The companies said the integration is intended to eliminate slide-to-report context switching and minimize manual data entry, enabling pathologists to maintain diagnostic focus while improving efficiency and throughput in busy laboratory environments.
“Fujifilm is committed to bringing digital pathology into the enterprise-imaging mainstream—enabling pathologists to collaborate, review, and report with the same agility as radiology,” said Dr. Mark Lloyd, vice president of digital pathology at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation. “By integrating with Voicebrook, we’re enriching the slide-to-report workflow with a voice-first reporting paradigm that meets labs where they are and takes them where they’re going.”
With the new functionality, pathologists using Synapse Pathology can dictate findings, navigate digital slides, and complete CAP electronic cancer checklists and other structured protocols by voice, without leaving the pathology review environment. Fujifilm said Synapse Pathology’s vendor-agnostic design supports multiple scanner inputs, both DICOM and proprietary formats, and cloud-based or on-premises deployments, making it suitable for enterprise imaging strategies across multi-site health systems.
Voicebrook said the partnership responds to growing demands on pathologists to deliver accurate diagnoses faster while managing increasing case volumes.
“Pathologists are under mounting pressure to deliver accurate diagnoses more efficiently,” said Filipe Carreira, chief operating officer of Voicebrook. “By integrating VoiceOver PRO with Synapse Pathology’s open, vendor-agnostic architecture, we’re offering labs a voice-enabled workflow that aligns with the future of digital pathology.”
The companies said the integrated solution is available immediately to clinical and reference laboratories seeking to enhance diagnostic workflows through a unified digital pathology and reporting platform.
