HOUSTON, Texas — Rimkus has appointed Chris Rayasam as president and chief executive officer, tasking him with leading the global consulting firm through its next phase of expansion. Rayasam will also join the Rimkus board of directors.

The company said the leadership change reflects its strategy to scale its engineering, technical, and life sciences expertise while strengthening its presence in high-growth markets.

Rayasam brings extensive experience in engineering and consulting leadership. Most recently, he served as chief executive officer of Consor, an infrastructure engineering and construction management firm. Before that, he led Murraysmith, a provider of water and transportation infrastructure solutions for public agencies across the western United States, where he oversaw the company’s acquisition and integration into Consor. Earlier in his career, Rayasam held senior leadership roles including chief financial officer at Otak, as well as positions at Hemmera and AECOM.

“I am pleased to welcome Chris as the new CEO of Rimkus,” said Curtis Brown, chairman and executive director at Rimkus. “He brings a strong record of driving growth through a focus on client value, operational improvements, and seamless integrations of acquisitions. Chris is well prepared to guide Rimkus forward, and I look forward to working with him in this next phase of growth.”

Rayasam said Rimkus’ breadth of expertise and problem-solving focus were key factors in his decision to join the firm.

“I am honored to join Rimkus,” he said. “Every day, our clients bring us hundreds of their most complex questions on topics ranging from buildings and their environments to vehicles and transportation, infrastructure and energy, and human factors, toxicology, and biomechanics. Every day, our experts rise to the occasion with their depth and breadth of knowledge, augmented by the most advanced tools and technologies available. I am honored and excited by this mission to help Rimkus grow and deliver more expertise to more clients, faster.”

The company said Rayasam’s priorities will include reinforcing Rimkus’ global forensic engineering capabilities, such as vehicle accident reconstruction and digital forensics, while accelerating growth in built environment services including building science, construction advisory, and structural engineering.
