A ceremony was hosted by ESPN’s Laura Rutledge on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Protective Life Stadium Club, Birmingham, AL.

Dr. Partridge is the driving force behind Guideway’s mission to deliver solutions and services that resolve patient barriers to accessing quality care within oncology practices, health systems, risk-bearing entities, payers, bundle participants and behavioral health client partners’ populations. Having developed over 70 non-clinical and clinical assessments, covering social determinants of health and most disease states, the Guideway Service as a Solution drives health equity and financial performance by resolving patient barriers related to health-related social needs, practical concerns and other impediments to compliance with clinical instructions.

“I am truly blessed and honored to receive this distinctive tribute from an esteemed organization like the Mike Slive Foundation,” says Dr. Partridge. “Mike Slive was a friend of mine, and his foundation is leading the way in raising awareness and funding research which can end prostate cancer as a major public health threat in our lifetime. I’ve spent my life dedicated to increasing awareness of cancer and access to screening and treatment. Now more than ever, it is imperative to make a difference in the lives of so many individuals who struggle to access care and avoid hospitalizations during these challenging times.”

In addition to his role as CMO of Guideway, Dr. Partridge is Director Emeritus and Professor Emeritus of the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center. Throughout his long career in medicine, Dr. Partridge has translated academic research into practical real-world applications, particularly in the areas of cancer prevention and the reduction of disparities in health care. Dr. Partridge served as President of the National Board of the American Cancer Society as well as Chairman of the Commission on Cancer for the American College of Surgeons. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Mid-South Division of the American Cancer Society.

Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer affecting one in eight men in their lifetime. When detected early, many prostate cancers can be treated successfully.

Craig Parker, CEO, Guideway Care says, “We are incredibly proud of Dr. Partridge and the impact he has made through a lifetime of commitment to cancer patients and their treatment. This award from the Mike Slive Foundation is another testament to the difference he has made.”
