Invetx Appoints Dr. Marcus Remmers, Novo Holdings Partner and Animal Health Industry Leader, to Board of Directors

BOSTON– Invetx, a pioneer in protein-based therapeutics for animal health, today announced the appointment of Dr. Marcus Remmers to its board of directors.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Remmers, an accomplished life sciences executive with significant veterinary biologics and animal health expertise, to our board of directors,” said Juergen Horn, PhD, chief executive officer, Invetx. “He will be a valuable addition as we advance our pipeline of novel antibody therapeutics targeting chronic and serious diseases in dogs and cats.”

Dr. Remmers is currently a partner at Novo Holdings and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network. He most recently served as chief technology officer at DSM, a global health, nutrition and bioscience company. He was previously vice president, global head of biologics R&D and vice president, global head of pharma R&D at Merial, a leading veterinary medicine company acquired by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health in 2017. Earlier in his career, he served as country president for Intervet (later Schering-Plough Animal Health). He received degrees in chemistry from the University of Munster and University of Freiburg, and a doctorate in chemistry from the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research.
